CORRIGENDUM

Familial aggregation of abnormal methylation of parental alleles at the IGF2/H19 and IGF2R differentially methylated regions

This paper inadvertently listed the sequence of the wrong pair of IGF2R primers in the Materials and Methods section. The primers in the paper were used to genotype a different polymorphism within IGF2R and were not the pair used for the methylation analysis.

The error does not affect the results or discussion but there are two sentences in the Materials and Methods (the sentence containing the GenBank accession number and the sentence containing the primer sequences) that should be corrected so that anyone who wants to try the assay can repeat it.

The two errors are as follows:

  1. The IGF2R GenBank accession number should be X91880.
  2. The primers for IGF2R-DMR should be F4: 5'-GGCCGAGGCCTGGCATGTTGG-3' and R4: 5'-TGGGGAAGCGCGAGAGGCCTAGG-3'.

The authors apologize for this error and hope that no one has been trying to repeat the assay with the primers listed.
