Cover: Localization of the Hook1 protein in spermatids by indirect immunofluorescence. During spermiogenesis a germ cell-specific microtubular structure termed the manchette becomes visible displaying a V-shaped structure. The yellowish color represents α-tubullin (greencolor) and Hook1 (red color) colocalization together with DAPI-stained nuclei indicating that Hook1 is involved in the positioning of the manchette within the male germ cell.
