Cover: Immunolocalization of prestin in the organ of Corti of the adult cochlea. The fluorescent images of whole-mount preparation show cross sections of the three rows of cylindrical mouse outer hair cells stained with anti-prestin antibody labeled with FITC. Prestin is an outer hair cells specific motor protein, localized in the basolateral membrane of the cells. See Article by Liu et al., in this issue, pp.1155-1162.
