Cover: Titled and Mergulhador mice lack otoconia, biomineral particles within the utricle and saccule of the inner ear that are critical for the perception of gravity and linear acceleration. Otopetrin-1 is a novel multi-transmembrane domain protein that contains missense mutations in both Tilted and Mergulhador mice.
