About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: Isolated striatal neuron from a 17-day-old mouse embryo that has been cultured for 7 days expressing mutant huntingtin protein with 72 polyglutamine repeats. Striatal neurons, the most affected cell population in Huntington's Disease (HD), represent the model that allow to investigate early cellular dysfunctions associated with HD. Neuron was stained with specific antibodies against neuronal tubulin (green) and actin (red) that are expressed in neuritis and cell body. Blue (DAPI) defines the nucleus. See Trushina et al., pp. 3578–3590, this issue, for further information.
