Cover: The cover image shows HeLa cells transiently expressing GFP-tagged survival motor neuron (SMN) protein lacking the exon 7-encoded domain (SMNΔ7). The cells were counter stained with an SMN-specific antibody (MANSMA1), which recognises both endogenous SMN and the GFP-SMNΔ7 protein. The experiment confirms that in HeLa cells the removal of the exon 7-encoded domain does not alter the cellular distribution of SMN. See Morse et al., pp. 3349-3358, this issue, for more information.
