Cover: The cover figure shows subnuclear localization of the transcription factor PAX3. The immunofluorescence image depicts endogenous PAX3 (green) in mouse B16F10 melanoma cells with respect to trimethylated lysine 4 of histone H3 (red), which demarcates the promoter region of transcriptionally active genes. The proximity and partial overlap of the two signals indicates that PAX3 localizes to the interchromatin space in the vicinity of euchromatin. The image was generated from a deconvolved Z-stack that was rendered in three dimensions using the Imaris software package (Bitplane AG). For further information, see G.N.
