Cover: The cover figure shows multipolar spindles formation due to centrosome amplification caused by the polycystin-1 knockdown. Shown is the late telophase of a murine inner medullary collecting duct (IMCD3) cell, three days following the transduction with a lentiviral vector stably expressing a specific anti-polycystin-1 siRNA. Spindle fibers were stained using a monoclonal anti-acetylated tubulin antibody (green) and DNA was counterstained with propidium iodide (red). The image was obtained with a Leica confocal fluorescence microscope at the original magnification of 1000X. See L. Battini et al., pp. 2819-2833.
